Kharyaginskaya Thermal Power Plant-2

Kharyaginskaya Thermal Power Plant-2Zarubezhneft has launched a 29 MW Kharyaginskaya TPP-2 power plant at the Kharyaginsky field, which ensures the field’s demand for electricity, the companyKharyaginskaya Thermal Power Plant-2 reports. The thermal power plant will run on associated petroleum gas.

«We have been working towards this for 9 long years since the beginning of the transfer of the operator. A tremendous amount of work has been done…,» said Denis Kozhushkin, Chief Power Engineer at Zarubezhneft–Dobycha Kharyaga.

The company added that the new power plant will reduce operating costs for the purchase of electricity, and the percentage of useful utilization of associated petroleum gas will reach 95%. All the cluster sites have been switched from external networks to power supply from new Solar gas turbine units.

At the Kharyaginskaya TPP-2 facility, we perform:

Development of a DIGSI project for the devices of the Kharyaginskaya TPP-2,
Commissioning at Kharyaginskaya TPP-2 and 35 kV transformer protections (performed in two stages: isolated operation of TPP-2, parallel operation of TPP-2 and TPP-1),
Parameterization of Siemens Siprotec terminals,
Kharyaginskaya Thermal Power Plant-2Performing terminal diagnostics; analyzing source data; assigning functions; assigning binary inputs, relay outputs and configuring terminal logic; assigning signals; setting protection settings;Kharyaginskaya Thermal Power Plant-2
High-voltage testing of internal circuits,
Checking the interaction of terminal circuits with external equipment,
Conducting comprehensive tests, inspections, and trials.

The Kharyaginskoye PSA is one of three projects in Russia that are implemented on the basis of production sharing agreements. The agreement entered into force in 1999, was concluded for 20 years, extended until December 31, 2031. The production volume of the Kharyaginsky PSA is 1.45 million tons per year, since 1999 the accumulated production has been over 20 million tons of oil. The deposit (nen. khara yakha — «winding river») It is located beyond the Arctic Circle on the territory of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, 165 km southeast of Naryan-Mar and 140 km north of Usinsk. It belongs to the Timan-Pechora oil and gas province. Its initial recoverable oil reserves were 158 million tons.
