As part of a large-scale project to construct the first and the second gas processing facilities at Salmanov oil-gas condensate field, Power System Group specialists provided contract supervision and commissioning of relay protection equipment by Relematika.
PSG equipped 35/10 kV unit substations ESS-600 and ESS-700 with relay and double-wound transformer control cabinets, new transformer leads, underfrequency load shedding, alarm system, as well as TOR 200 and ZDZ-01 terminals in 10 kV bay units.
Under the two-stage commissioning work PSG:
- Checked and suggested ways to secure mounting and install relay cabinets
- Checked and suggested ways to earth relay cabinets and cable screens
- Assessed conductors, cables, contact combinations in terminal rows
- Ensured that coupling circuits between cabinets, other relay protection and automatics equipment, control devices and alarm system perform under the project.
- Checked cabinet insulation
- Estimated parameters of relay protection and automation cabinets, imported operating settings within commissioning contractor works
- Tested secondary switching circuits up to the in-cabinet terminal block
- Tested discriminating elements, set up characteristic time curve, tested protection operate time along with commissioning contractor works
- Checked protection modules within commissioning contractor works
- Simulated types of short circuit to test protection systems within commissioning contractor works.
