At the 110 kV substation Zharkov, Power System Group specialists have completed testing the speed and time characteristics of 110 kV circuit breakers of the 3AP1 FG Siemens type. The tests were carried out using a device of the PKV/M7 type, which allows such tests to be carried out for circuit breakers of any type and voltage (up to 750 kV inclusive).

In addition to providing control of the parameters of time, stroke and speed of the moving parts of the switches, PKV / M7 also allows you to register the instantaneous values ​​of currents and voltages of control electromagnets.

Large measurement ranges for time (up to 5.1 s), speed (up to 20 m/s) and stroke (up to 900 mm) cover the needs of monitoring all existing high-voltage circuit breakers and allow you to check circuit breakers in complex cycles.

High accuracy in measuring time characteristics (±0.1 ms), as well as stroke and speed characteristics, is provided by digital angular and linear displacement sensors with a resolution of 0.09 ° and 0.5 mm.
The PKV/M7 commutator makes it possible to test circuit breakers both in simple and complex switching cycles at electromagnet currents up to 14A (permanent and variable) with the setting of the required durations of on and off pulses, pauses and off delays.
