The Volkovsky copper-iron-vanadium deposit is located in the Sverdlovsk region on the territory of the Kuzhvinsky district, 30 km north of the city of Nizhny Tagil.
The Volkovsky mine has belonged to OJSC Svyatogor since 1999 and is its production division. The deposit is an arc-shaped ore zone with a length of 3.5 km and a width of 1 km. The copper reserves at this site amount to 772.7 thousand tons, iron — 20.074 million tons, vanadium oxide — 333.2 thousand tons.
